You may be moved to volunteer at AHC so that you
too can be a part of solving our housing crisis. We
encourage anyone interested in volunteer work to
contact Dorothy
Black at 259-9216 to set up a time
to discuss opportunities and interest.
While we have several areas in need of volunteers, we realize that we may not have the opportunity you seek and so we will help to point you to another organization within the Coalition’s membership that may better
suit your interests.
The following is a partial list of volunteer jobs and positions that we have utilized over the years. By reading this list you may be inspired to fill one of these roles, but you may be inspired to come up with
something new. Lets talk and find a job that fits us both!
- Office work, filing and front desk coverage.
- Information and Referral – helping to give people who call, or come by, the information they need to secure housing.
- Lenders, realtors, home inspectors and other professionals from the home buying field can help teach students what they need to know as they navigate the process of buying their first home.
- People who have bought their first home and have a story to tell – good or bad – can help others learn from their experience.
- If you have a special skill such as crafts, finance, self-care, nutrition or any number of other topics, you may want to present your information to the women in the Interlace program.
- Securing donations of funds or goods, for client assistance or AHC programs.
